West Beach

We hiked about 1/4 mile through the resort to the other side of the island. The trail opened up to one of the most spectaular white sand beaches on the West Coast. It feels like a fairy tale to come through the woods and have the beach open up in front of you. The rock formations are very reminescent of Emily Carr paintings. We had a good long strong -- and in Dad's case, a rock walk -- finding beautiful stones and sea shells along the way.

Grandpa and Grandma -- the beach bums, eh?

We reluctantly made our way back to our boats after soaking up the beautiful vista of West Beach. The Lodge offers dinner at $100/person to the yachties -- we decline and have a terrific pot luck lasagne aboard A cappella.

$100/person? That is crazy. I bet your lasagne was better. :)

You kids look like such salty sea dogs!

Much love!
