Leaving Namu behind....

A parting shot of the marina & buildings at Namu. Namu is situated on the east side of Fitz Hugh sound above River's Inlet.

As we make our way across the bay, we see the dormitory for the Japanese cannery workers. They weren't allowed to stay in the town.

The old Esso fuel dock and the entrance out of Namu to Fitz Hugh Sound

We saw many beautiful sandy cove beaches like this one -- which surprised us very much! We always think of our beaches as either rock or shell.
