The Chief's Bathtub

We made our way through to Village Channel and on the north side of Berry Island to find the Chief's Bathtub. It is a sculpted-out depression in a rock cliff, a little below the high water line.

We arrived at almost high tide to find the bathtub almost full!
According to legend, to become a real chief the candidate had to sit in this bathtub four times a day for four days as the cold waters of the tide washed in. You can also see the pictograph just above the bathtub and the petroglyph side it.
