Johns Island

What gorgeous weather we are having. We left our pretty anchorage near Gossip Island in Reid Harbor and made our way through John's pass and on our way spotted this Indian Village camp on Johns Island.

There were many Teepee sites that ran across the west end of the Island and I can imagine what fun it must be to be one of their campers. From the size, they look to be smaller than John and Melissa's Teepee -- but there must have been over 100 of them.

The dug-out canoe was moored in one of the small bays.

The long house was beautifully painted.

A sign on the island says that it is a "self-sufficient" island -- no electricity, no phone, water or sewer services.

Quite a unique site to find as we cruise by and up to Prevost Harbor to find another adventure.
